Arduino Anemometer Wind Speed Sensor
Adafruit sells an inexpensive
anemometer wind speed sensor (
product #1733) that outputs a voltage proportional to the wind speed.
This made it a simple addition to the existing Arduino that was measuring
outside temperature and humidity. The data from all of the sensors are
transmitted via CAN bus, and another CAN bus + Arduino Wi-Fi shield sends the
information to my web site. This allows me to monitor the wind speed,
temperature, and humidity while on the boat, and remotely.
